Topramezone and Terbuthylazine were first registered in sugarcane fields in China

Recently, Jiner(Qingdao) applied for 28% of TopramezoneTerbuthylazine OD products (Topramezone 2%+ Terbuthylazine 26%) was approved for registration.

 

The registered crops and control objects are annual weeds in spring corn field and annual weeds in sugarcane field. When controlling annual weeds in sugarcane field, it is recommended to apply 80 ~ 100 ml/mu of spray with 30 ~ 50 kg of water at the 3-5 leaf stage of sugarcane and 2-5 leaf stage of weeds, and use uniform stem and leaf spray once a season at most. This is the first time that China has approved Topramezone and Terbuthylazine for registration in sugarcane fields.

 

Previously, Topramezone was mainly registered in China for the control of weeds in corn fields, sorghum fields and non-arable land, and Terbuthylazine was mainly registered in China for the control of weeds in corn fields and sorghum fields.

 

According to GB 2763-2021, the maximum residue limit of Topramezone in corn and fresh corn in China is 0.05 mg/kg (provisional limit), and the maximum residue limit of Terbuthylazine in wheat, corn and fresh corn in China is 0.05, 0.1 and 0.1 mg/kg, respectively. The maximum residue limits of both in sorghum and sugarcane in China have not yet been specified.
