De Dietrich Takes Over Heinkel Group

ECHEMI 2024-06-05

De Dietrich Process Systems strengthens its industrial base in Europe and expands its presence in international markets with the acquisition of Heinkel Group.

Through the strategic merger with Heinkel Drying & Separation, De Dietrich Group aims to expand its high-end product portfolio and become a global market leader in solid-liquid separation and drying of active ingredients. The family-owned company, headquartered in schiltigheim in Alsace, supplies process equipment, engineered systems and process plants for the fine chemicals, chemical and pharmaceutical industries and is positioning itself as a European market leader with four production sites in Europe and strategically focused local production in France, Germany, the Netherlands, Italy, Spain, Switzerland, Hungary and the Czech Republic. The acquisition also enables De Dietrich Group to further expand its presence in international markets and consolidate its market leadership in Asia and the United States.

With the brands Heinkel, Comber, Bolz-Summix and Jongia, De Dietrich Group is a premium supplier of solid-liquid separation, drying and mixing system solutions, primarily serving the pharmaceutical, chemical and food industries.

This strategic acquisition and the resulting expanded services for growth markets such as recycling and environment will enable De Dietrich Process Systems to continue to develop its business with a sales outlook of more than 300 million euros and solid performance. This is the first step in De Dietrich's external expansion following the 100% acquisition of the company by the family holding company (Financière Jaergerthal) in January 2023.

Jacques Moulin, President of De Dietrich Process Systems, said:"De Dietrich Process Systems and Heinkel share common values, including family values and the ambition to maintain a strong manufacturing industry in Europe. The technologies provided by the newly formed group are essential for the production of active ingredients and chemicals in Europe. We are contributing to economic growth on the European continent and strengthening our commitment to a local and sustainable industry. In addition, we are improving our ability to anticipate our customers' needs and provide them with innovative, efficient and sustainable solutions."
