Release of Ningxia's 24th Period Food Safety Supervision and Sampling Inspection Results in 2024

Recently, the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region Market Supervision and Management Bureau has officially released detailed information on the 24th period of food safety supervision and sampling inspection in 2024.

This inspection work covered multiple food categories, including livestock and poultry meat, dairy products, canned foods, roasted and nut products, with a total of 231 samples inspected.

After rigorous testing and analysis, the inspection results showed that the vast majority of the samples met the relevant standards, with a pass rate as high as 97.4%. However, there were still some non-conforming samples, with the main issues as follows:

1. In the dairy product inspection, 3 batches of products were found to have excessive total bacterial counts.

2. In the inspection of roasted and nut products, 1 batch of products was found to have a fungal count exceeding the allowable range.

3. In the meat product inspection, 2 batches of products were found to have excessive nitrite content.

Regarding the non-conforming products, the relevant departments have quickly taken emergency measures such as removal from shelves and destruction, and have also punished the involved production enterprises accordingly, in order to maintain market order and protect consumer rights.

The results of this inspection once again highlight the necessity for food production enterprises to strengthen management in key links such as raw material control and production processes. In this regard, the regulatory authorities will continue to increase the intensity of daily supervision to ensure that food safety supervision leaves no blind spots, and effectively safeguard the dining safety of the general public.
