EU Extends Authorization of Lentilactobacillus buchneri DSM 22501 as Feed Additive
According to information published in the Official Journal of the European Union, the European Commission officially adopted Regulation (EU) 2024/1810 on July 2, 2024, which clearly extends the authorization for the use of the feed additive preparation of Lentilactobacillus buchneri DSM 22501 (formerly known as Bronobutyrum DSM 22501) for all animal species.
As specified in the Annex to the Regulation, the additive is classified as a "technological additive" and belongs to the functional group of "silage additives". The authorization is extended until July 22, 2034.
The Regulation will enter into force 20 days after its publication.
