Sipcam Oxon SpA expands its European footprint with the acquisition of the distribution assets of Phyteurop SA
Recently, Italy’s Sipcam Oxon SpA has announced a major strategic move with the successful acquisition of all distribution assets of Phyteurop SA, a French company, through its subsidiary Sipcam France SA. Although the exact financial details of the transaction were not disclosed, the move marks the further consolidation of Sipcam Oxon SpA's leadership position in the European agricultural market.
Phyteurop SA, founded in 1973, is a company based in Paris, France, part of the InVivo Cooperative Group. The acquisition will enable Sipcam France to maintain a close partnership with InVivo and together provide a wide range of solutions for the French agricultural market, including traditional and innovative agrochemicals, fertilizers and biological products. Notably, the acquisition does not include Phyteurop's formulation plant in Montreuil Bele.
The President of Sipcam Oxon SpA said Phyteurop has built a diversified customer base in Europe's largest agrochemical market over the past 50 years and is known for its solutions for farmers. Sipcam Oxon SpA is pleased to welcome 23 new employees to Sipcam France, including Fabrice Buet, who will soon be appointed General Manager.
The company's CEO further stressed that the acquisition is an important step in the group's strategic development, through which Sipcam France will strengthen its presence in Europe and thus bring greater benefits to existing and new customers. The company looks forward to working with the excellent team at Sipcam France to develop an even stronger portfolio for the future. In addition, the company is excited to leverage the additional resources, capabilities and scale of the Sipcam Oxon Group to enhance its service offerings.
