International paint giant Nippon Paint enters Africa, invests in building a factory to introduce cutting-edge technology

Nippon Paint, the world's fourth largest paint company and Asia's largest paint company, has expanded to Kenya, Africa, with the goal of expanding market share. Through its subsidiary in Kenya, Nipsea Paint Kenya, the company will introduce Japan's cutting-edge technology in automotive refinishing, car care, wood coatings and industrial coatings.

Nippon Paint will establish its own regional center in Nairobi before establishing branches in various East African countries. East Africa remains a growing business location, characterized by vibrant economic development, a thriving middle class and increasing investment opportunities in various sectors.

"We are eager to establish our presence in the African continent through Nairobi and East Africa. In the past two years, we have successfully introduced our products to the market through distributors and the response has been very good." Sharad Malhotra, director of Nipsea Paint Kenya said.
