Coval Technologies Launches New Paint Matting Agent
Coval Technologies has announced the launch of Coval Matting Agent, which can be added to the gloss finish of Coval paints to create a satin or matte effect. Previously, Coval paints were packaged in gloss, satin or matte finishes, and now they are sold in gloss finish only, with Coval Matting Agent added depending on the desired finish.
“The new Coval Matting Agent provides versatility and ease of use for installers, dealers and end users,” said Aaron Statser, General Manager of Coval. “If a customer decides to go with satin or matte instead of gloss, installers can easily change the finish, and dealers have fewer inventory and SKUs to manage.”
The Coval paints that can be added with Coval Matting Agent are Coval Concrete, Coval Ultimate Top Coat and Coval Vinyl, and are available in 1-gallon units at 15.4 grams and 5-gallon units at 77 grams.
Mix the matting agent with a portion of the Coval paint in a mixing container, using a paddle-type paint agitator with a handheld drill at a low speed. Then, slowly add the remaining 1-gallon or 5-gallon bucket of Coval to the container and mix thoroughly. Good dispersion of the Coval matting agent is critical to ensure optimal performance.
Coval matting agent should only be used with the specified Coval paint.
