China's Natural Rubber Market Weakly Consolidates

ECHEMI 2025-11-27

November 26 news

According to the commodity market analysis system, the recent (11.20~11.26) Chinese natural rubber spot market showed a weak consolidation. As of November 26, the spot rubber price in China's natural rubber market was around 14,825 CNY/ton, a decrease of 0.56% from 14,908 CNY/ton on the 20th. The cost support for natural rubber raw materials continued, but the port inventory of natural rubber slightly increased, which had a somewhat negative impact on the natural rubber market. Additionally, the downstream tire production slightly decreased, leading to a weaker market sentiment and a weak consolidation in prices. As of November 26, the mainstream quotes for 24-year Guangken, Baodao, and Haibao full-cream rubber in the Qingdao area were between 14,750 and 15,000 CNY/ton.

As of November 26, the price of latex in Thailand was 57.00 Thai Baht per kilogram, unchanged from the price on the 20th. Currently, the price of natural rubber raw materials remains high. Later, as China's tapping gradually stops and the southern Thailand floods affect the tapping process, the price of natural rubber raw materials is expected to remain high in the short term.

Recent natural rubber inventories (11.20~11.26) continued to increase slightly, having a bearish impact on natural rubber. As of November 23, 2025, the combined inventory volume of bonded and general trade natural rubber in the Qingdao area was 468,900 tons, an increase of 16,300 tons or 3.60% from the previous period.

Recently (11.20~11.26), the downstream tire production has slightly decreased, providing support to the natural rubber market. As of November 15, the semi-steel tire production in Chinese tire companies has reached around 70%; the all-steel tire production in Shandong region tire companies has reached about 62%.

Future Market Forecast: Currently, natural rubber raw material prices remain at high levels, while weak downstream demand provides only limited support. Port inventories of natural rubber continue to rise slightly. Overall, we expect the natural rubber market to experience predominantly weak and volatile trading ahead of the holiday period.
