The latest news reported (local time 11 night), Yantian Maritime Bureau received a report from the ship agent, Yantian port berth 9 "China Shipping Saturn" (CSCL SATURN) ship has a dangerous goods container leakage, Shenzhen Yantian Maritime Bureau immediately in accordance with the relevant emergency plans and prevention work guidelines to carry out emergency disposal work.
After verification, the leaking dangerous goods container was a transit container. This transit dangerous goods container stored more than 16 tons of dangerous chemicals hydrogen fluoride and tetrafluoroboric acid, which are class 8 dangerous goods. After on-site assessment, emergency responders requested the vessel to suspend loading and unloading operations, set up a cordoned off area and evacuate the surrounding personnel. On the night of the incident, the leaking container of dangerous goods was successfully lifted to the shore and transferred to the dangerous goods disposal site in the port area.
