Weekly offers and analyses for chemicals this week are as follows：

1 Melamine

At present, melamine is in the stage of stocking in domestic market while end users make moderate orders. The overall wait-and-see attitude of dealers remained still. There was no pressure on exporting in recent weeks. USD offers for melamine were around $1,000/mt FOB Qingdao.

2 Potassium Sorbate

Due to the impact of the exchange rate, the current price of potassium sorbate was slightly up. Delivery time would be limited with the coming Chinese new year. Offers for potassium sorbate were $3,850/mt FOB Ningbo.

3 Toluene Diisocyanate

The domestic TDI market was consolidated.Most factories hold postive attitude on the upward tendency with moderate price offers.The stock goods was short with slight upward quotation. Most of the downstream buyers finished ordering, while a small amount demand appeare.It was expected that the domestic TDI market would stand still. Offers for TDI were $1,800/mt FOB Shanghai.

4 Ascorbic Acid

Forced by the inventory pressure of most factories in China, the price offer of Ascorbic acid was weak.It should be no changes before the Spring Festival. The possibility of shipment before the holiday was small, due to the holiday break of logistics. Price FOB Qingdao USD3400/mt .

5 Sodium Nitrate

The domestic soda ash market price remained stable. As the Spring Festival drawing near, downstream demand would slow down gradually while manufacturers' pressure would increase. In view of this, it was expected that the market would be stable in the short term, and some manufacturers would offer low price because of the pressure. The price of sodium nitrate was FOB Qingdao USD 660/mt.

6 Sodium Nitrite

In view of this, it was expected that the market would be stable in the short term, and some manufacturers would offer low price because of the pressure. Price of sodium nitrite was FOB Qingdao $710/mt.

7 Sodium laurylether sulphate

 Based on rate at Commodity Exchange of Palm oil in Dalian , it closed higher.The domestic palm oil market price had risen, the market trading atmosphere was flat with light transaction. Short-term domestic market consolidation operations were expected. SLES FOB Shanghai USD 1030/mt. 

8 Sodium Metabisulfite

Price of sodium metabisulfite was FOB Qingdao $395/mt.

9 Carboxymethyl Cellulose

The price of CMC raw materials dropped. The RMB price of CMC dropped a lot due to factories clear their inventory before the end of the year. At present, the CMC price of 2000-3000 viscosity is 16500 RMB/MT, calculated according to the 6.7 exchange rate between US Dollars and RMB, the price should be FOB Shanghai, 2500 USD/MT.

10 Xanthan Gum

In 2018, the price of Xanthan gum maintains high, Fufeng nearly does not adjust the price for an order, the other factories decline the price accordingly. The reference price of Xanthan gum, food grade, 80 mesh, bag packing is 17500 RMB/MT; food grade, 200 mesh is 18500 RMB/MT, the price includes the tax, deal with the present rate of exchange, price can negotiate as a real order. The USD price is, 2300 USD/ MT, 80 mesh; 2450 USD/MT, 200 mesh.

11 Sodium Tripolyphosphate

The supply-demand was balanced and the prices were stable in Chinese STPP market, though prices of raw materials moved down. The reference price of STPP was $1,050/mt FOB Fangcheng.

12 Sodium Hexametaphosphate

The supply-demand was balanced and the prices were stable in Chinese SHMP market, though prices of raw materials moved down. The reference price of SHMP was $1,245/mt FOB Huangpu.

13 Sucralose

The reference price for tonnage of sucralose is 30 USD/KGS. The production capacity of Jinhe is still not full, the price will continue to decline after Chinese lunar new year.

14 Aspartame

Aspartame niutang/guanghui factory's price is tonnage FOB Shanghai/Qingdao 10USD/KGS, the price is still going down.Hanguang supply is still tight, cattle pond inventory is more, guanghui large particles of tension powder sufficient.

15 Acesulfame K

AK offers FCA USD7.7/KGS, quantity and price negotiable.

16 Folic Acid

The current price of feed grade folic acid was about USD 28/Kg, which was at a low point and the increase would be relatively large.

17 Sodium Acid Pyrophosphate

The supply-demand was balanced and the prices were stable in Chinese SAPP market. The reference price of SAPP was $1,270/mt FOB Shanghai.

18 Dibasic Esters

The strict environmental protection supervision influenced the production of DBE. Moreover, the coming SCO Summit let to some units' shutdown. The reference price of DBE (in barrel) was $1320/mt FOB Qingdao.

19 Aldehydo-D-Glucose

As the lunar new year is approaching, the corn market has shocked in weak, spot price performance is still weak, the price has small fluctuation in local areas. The domestic demand has reduced and the price has a stable movement. The price of anhydrous dextrose is 615 USD/MT, FOB Qingdao.

20 Dextrose Monohydrate

As the lunar new year is approaching, the corn market has shocked in weak, spot price performance is still weak, the price has small fluctuation in local areas. The domestic demand has reduced and the price has a stable movement. Dextrose Monohydrate was quoted FOB Dalian $450/mt.

21 Maltodextrin

22 Benzoic acid

23 Sodium benzoate

The sodium benzoate powder which is in short supply gets the chance to raise its price supported by the rising price of raw materials and there are factory maintenance and environmental production limits at the end of the year. Sodium benzoate was quoted FOB Tianjin $1260/MT.

24 Polyether Polyol

The domestic polyether market was generally stable and downward, with sporadic small orders. The overall downstream buying power was not strong, and the current price of raw material - propylene oxide and polyether were expected to fall. After the falling of PO, the polyether market was expected to fluctuate downward. Price FOB Qingdao USD1520/mt.

25 Sodium Hydroxide

The market price of internal liquid alkali is mainly sorted out, while the market price is not changing for the time being. The market personnel are cautious.Sheet alkali market transaction situation is general, the factory price more maintain last week level, the actual transaction is not good, some prices negative decline. Caustic soda was FOB Qingdao $650/mt.

26 Adipic Acid

The price of crude oil has been rising steadily, and the external price of pure benzene has been rising continuously. Affected by the rise of raw materials, the profit is positive at the cost side. In addition, some manufacturers of adipic acid have increased the listed price this month due to the large stock before the Spring Festival. The domestic trade price rises rapidly, however, the source of low price goods is less. Adipic acid FOB Qingdao $1,180/MT.

27 Citric Acid Monohydrate

Although the price is close to the cost line of the factory or even the loss, the market has sufficient supply, general demand, corn and other raw materials temporarily no other good, weak price operation. Citric acid monohydrate FOB Qingdao 590/mt.

28 Citric Acid Anhydrous

Although the price is close to the cost line of the factory or even the loss, the market has sufficient supply, general demand, corn and other raw materials temporarily no other good, weak price operation. Citric acid anhydrous FOB Qingdao $670/mt.

29 Sodium Citrate Dihydrate

30 Texanol

C12 was affected by fluctuations in raw material isobutyraldehyde. Factory prices would fluctuat accordingly. FOB Qingdao $1,500/mt.

31 Pentaerythritol

The price of pentaerythritol is stable before the Spring Festival. The reference price was $1,600/mt FOB Tianjin.

32 Phosphoric Acid

With short supply of yellow phosphorus and rising price of electricity, the price of coal coke rose. It was estimated that price of yellow phosphorus would be rising while phosphate would continue to increase simultaneously. Phosphoric acid (purity of 85%) FOB Fangcheng $810/mt.

33 Methyl Acetate

The supply tensions of acetic acid has eased, demand is a little weak , but price is stable. The reference price of methyl acetate was $850/mt FOB Zhangjiagang.

34 N-Propyl Acetate

The supply tensions of acetic acid has eased, demand is a little weak , but price is stable. The reference price of propyl acetate was $1200/mt FOB Zhangjiagang.

35 Phthalic Anhydride

Phthalic anhydride market was weak featuring strong holiday atmosphere and rather weak trading atmosphere. Especially affacted by the drop of DOP, there was still downward price trend. In the market outlook, the small demand outlook was difficult to change. Major downstream plasticizer factories were planning to shut down, which would be a nagative effect of the demand for phthalic anhydride. It was expected to maintain a negative trend in the short-term. Price FOB China port USD980/mt.

36 TylosinTartrate

At present, there are only three domestic manufacturers of tylosin. Tairui Enjoyed the highest reputation and biggest market share. However, recently, Tairui has had fewer goods after the environment issue. Qilu has been unable to start production due to the suspension of production. Recently, the use period of TylosinTartrate had arrived. The delivery time had been extended, which has intensified the price increasing of TylosinTartrate.

37 Albendazole

Albendazole is out of stock now.

38 Amoxicillin

Amoxicillin,as a penicillin antibiotic, had been stable in price and there was even a price cut. The main domestic manufacturers of amoxicillin are Wichita, Green Park, North China Pharmaceutical and Zhuhai Federation. Winter is approaching so the production will be restricted in winter to factories close to Beijing. Thus, amoxicillin would be bullish in the coming month. But the increase was limited. Amoxicillin was of low profit margin with large buying volume.

39 Azithromycin

Erythromycin thiocyanate's largest domestic manufacturer, Hec pharm, was expected to start quoting in the fourth quarter. Ningxia Tairui and Ningxia Qiyuan had stopped production. Currently, the goods from Yili Chuaning on the market can be provided in small quantities. There was not much stock of rising price. There are totally 5-6 manufacturers in China. Due to environmental reasons,manufacturers in Hebei have stopped production, while manufacturers in Huangshi and Shandong have limited production. The market supply was tight, the price was stable in a high position because of short supply. The fluctuations would be not big. Azithromycin FOB $120/kgs.

40 Aspirin

While leading manufacturers in China have stopped production line, the supply of aspirin was tight. Now they did not accept new orders and only handling previous orders.

41 Florfenicol

At present, the market of Florfenicol is a little messy, it is expected to be better in March. The reference price was $63/KGS FOB.

42 Erythromycin thiocyanate

The downstream synthetic product azithromycin price increased,so that the main domestic producer of erythromycin erythromycin, Dongyang Sun, stopped quoting.And the manufacturer was expected to start quoting in the fourth quarter. Ningxia Tairui, Ningxia Qiyuan stopped production, while Yili Chuaning would be able to provide a small quantity.There would be short stock with rising prices.

43 Tilmicosin phosphate

The market price of tilmicosin phosphate has a fallen trend, it’s predicted that the price will continues to decrease in the future. Tilmicosin phosphate fell back. The reference price was $55/KGS FOB.

44 Gentamycin sulfate

The price of gentamicin sulfate is relatively stable. The reference price was $128/BOU FOB.

45 Neomycin Sulphate

The manufacturers will not delivery neomycin sulfate before the lunar year due to the tight supply. The domestic factory is expected to start work on February 19th, and the normal quotation can be restored after that. The reference price was 23USD/BOU.

46 Colistin Sulphate

The market of mycobacterium sulfate is stable. Demand is low and factories are expected to fall back a bit.

47 Paracetamol

Price of paracetamol continued at high level.Manufacturers were very cautious to quote. They did not accept big orders, and were dealing with the previous orders. The tension was still continuing.

48 Oxytetracycline

Compared to last week, the price of Oxytetracycline HCL does not change a lot, it seems to be lower after the lunar year.

49 Ivermectin

Ivermectin was out of stock in China.Suppliers are offering goods to regular customers and handle previous orders, so new inquiries would not get further quotations.The tension of shortage of ivermectin would continue.

50 Doxycycline Hyclate

At present, the price of doxycycline hydrochloride is still steadily decreasing due to the collapse of the upstream raw material terramycin, which had a daily price fluctuation.

51 Cyanocobalamin

Large amount of Vitamins B12 of low-priced goods had been heavily inhabited. Price would expected to rise.

52 Tiamulin Fumarate

The price of tiamulin was stable before February, and it was expected to fall after Second quarter of February.
