Zinc Silver Zeolite Approved as Active Substance, Involving Categories 2, 7, and 9 Products, Market May Face Major Reshuffle!
According to the latest news from the Official Journal of the European Union, on October 4, 2024, the European Commission officially promulgated a new regulation, Regulation (EU) 2024/2635. The main content of this regulation is to authorize the use of silver zinc zeolite as an active substance in certain types of products, specifically, these product types include 2, 7 and 9. These product types cover a wide range of bactericidal products designed to ensure their effectiveness and safety.
The enactment of this new regulation means that zinc-silver zeolite, as a new active substance, has been officially recognized and approved by the European Union and can be used in the above product types. This not only provides new possibilities for the development and production of related products, but also brings more choices and guarantees to consumers.
It is worth noting that this regulation enters into force on the twentieth day after its publication in the Official Journal of the European Union. This means that companies and manufacturers need to be prepared within the specified time frame to ensure that their products comply with the requirements of the new regulations. At the same time, this also provides a transition period for the relevant industries to better adapt to the new regulatory requirements and ensure product compliance and market competitiveness.
