Evotec SE Shocking Sale: German Chemical Base Worth Hundreds of Millions Changes Hands
Evotec SE (EVO), a leading drug discovery and development company, today announced that Evotec DS GmbH, its chemical active drug manufacturing site in Halle/Westphalia, Germany, has been successfully sold to Monacum Partners GmbH, a private equity firm based in Munich. Although specific financial terms were not disclosed, the transaction marks an important step in Evotec SE's strategic realignment and optimal allocation of resources.
As a result of the agreement, all of Evotec DS 'business operations and employees will be smoothly transferred to the management of Monacum Partners. In order to ensure business continuity and stability, Evotec DS will continue to operate under the name DAPIN GmbH (Deutsche API & Intermediates). This initiative is designed to maintain the company's existing business model and customer relationships while providing a stable working environment for employees.
Evotec DS GmbH in Halle/Westphalia is a contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) with a strong professional background in the field of chemistry. The company has a strong technical foundation and extensive experience in chemically active pharmaceutical ingredients (apis), intermediates and building blocks. Evotec DS GmbH not only offers an end-to-end portfolio of services from laboratory research to commercial-scale production, but also strives to provide its customers with high quality and efficient solutions through continuous technological innovation and optimization of production processes.
The sale will allow Evotec SE to focus more on its core business areas, while providing Monacum Partners with a potential and competitive advantage in the production of chemical agents. With this transaction, Evotec SE and Monacum Partners look forward to the future growth and success of DAPIN GmbH.
