U.S. Imposes 355% Anti-Dumping Duty on Epoxy Resins from China
On November 7, 2024, the U.S. Department of Commerce issued a notice announcing preliminary anti-dumping rulings on epoxy resin products imported from China, India, South Korea, Thailand and Taiwan. According to the preliminary findings, the dumping margin for producers/exporters from China was 354.99% (margin ratio of 344.45% after subsidy offset), and the dumping margin for Indian producers/exporters was between 12.01% and 15.68% (margin ratio of 0.00% to 10.52% after subsidy offset). The dumping margins for Korean producers/exporters ranged from 16.02% to 24.65%, for Thai producers/exporters from 5.59%, and for Taiwan producers/exporters from 9.43% to 20.61%.
The products involved in this case are products under the US Customs Code 3907.30.0000.
In addition, the US Department of Commerce announced on April 23, 2024 that it would initiate anti-dumping and countervailing investigations into epoxy resin products imported from the Chinese mainland, India, South Korea and Taiwan, and initiate anti-dumping investigations into epoxy resin products imported from Thailand.
