Elkem Reports Quarterly Loss of 1.2 Billion, Performance Plummets!
Elkem has announced its financial results for the third quarter of 2024. The report shows that Elkem's EBITDA (earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortization) in the quarter reached 1.235 billion Norwegian kroner (about 802 million yuan), the best performance since the first quarter of 2023. The significant improvement was mainly due to the increase in sales volume of silicone products, the improvement in production and operational efficiency, and the positive effect of the commissioning of new domestic production lines.
In the face of fluctuations in the macroeconomic environment and market challenges, Elkem has implemented a comprehensive improvement plan, which has already achieved remarkable results. Looking ahead to the fourth quarter, the silicone market is expected to show a relatively stable trend. With its strong market position and diversified business structure, Elkem is expected to achieve consistent and stable performance.
