Waldner begins construction of powder coating plant at Wangen site

Waldner has broken ground on construction of a future new powder coating facility, scheduled to be operational in the fall of 2025. This is another step towards ultra-modern and sustainable production.

The groundbreaking ceremony marks the beginning of a new chapter in the modernization of Waldner’s metal production – with the future construction of a state-of-the-art powder coating facility on approximately 800 square meters of land. The total investment in the building and factory is close to €4 million. The new powder coating facility is scheduled to be operational in autumn 2025 and will significantly increase production capacity in the surface coating area.

This latest investment will allow the group to plan the entire metal production in Wangen and further optimize production processes in the future. As a result, the quality of the powder coating of all metal components across the entire Waldner product portfolio will be further improved. The new system also contributes to more sustainable production because it is more energy efficient.

“This investment is a clear commitment to our headquarters in Wangen and to Germany as a business location,” said Jochen Früh, CEO of the Waldner Group. Overall, Waldner has been investing in the Wangen site since the beginning of 2024 to modernize laboratory solutions and metal processing production.

New systems, such as CNC machining centers for laboratory and metal production or new powder coating systems, not only increase production output but also expand the production scope at the headquarters. The total investment will ultimately exceed €11 million.
