India Imposes Anti-Dumping Duty of $707 on Chinese PVC
Recently, the Indian Ministry of Commerce and Industry officially issued a positive final ruling on anti-dumping, recommending that starting from June 13, 2024, an anti-dumping duty be imposed on Poly Vinyl Chloride Paste Resin originating from or imported from Mainland China and Taiwan. The tax amount can be as high as $707 per ton (approximately 5,175 CNY per ton), with a validity period of five years.
In addition, countries such as South Korea, Malaysia, Norway, and Thailand are also subject to anti-dumping duties, but the tax rate faced by Mainland China is the highest, ranging from $248 to $707 per ton (approximately 1,815 to 5,175 CNY per ton). The specific tax details are as follows:
- Mainland China: $248 to $707 per ton (approximately 1,815 to 5,175 CNY per ton)
- Taiwan: $247 to $373 per ton (approximately 1,808 to 2,730 CNY per ton)
- South Korea: $0 to $89 per ton (approximately 651 CNY per ton)
- Malaysia: $516 per ton (approximately 3,777 CNY per ton)
- Thailand: $343 to $421 per ton (approximately 2,510 to 3,081 CNY per ton)
- Norway: $495 per ton (approximately 3,623 CNY per ton)
It is worth noting that the anti-dumping duty imposed by India on Chinese Poly Vinyl Chloride Paste Resin is equivalent to the anti-dumping duty imposed by the EU on titanium dioxide imports from China.
