Imerys Completes Acquisition of Chemviron’s European Diatomaceous Earth and Perlite Business
Imerys has completed the acquisition of the European diatomaceous earth and perlite business of Chemviron, a subsidiary of Calgon Carbon Corporation.
In 2024, the business generated revenues of approximately €50 million and employed approximately 130 people.
Imerys has acquired three high-quality mining and industrial assets in France and Italy, expanding and complementing its diatomaceous earth and perlite business in Europe. The acquisition expands its filtration and life sciences portfolio to better serve customers in the food, beverage, filtration and pharmaceutical markets.
Imerys is a leading global provider of mineral-based specialty solutions with 2023 revenues of €3.8 billion and 13,700 employees in 54 countries.
