BASF Coatings and BMW Enter Aftermarket Partnership
BASF’s Coatings division announced that the BMW Group has selected premium refinish brands Glasurit and RM as preferred coatings brands for its aftermarket network.
The strategic partnership covers 50 markets where the BMW Group does not yet have its own brands. The Glasurit 100 Line AraClass and RM Agilis Pioneer Series portfolio will reshape the future of body shops around the world with their commitment to sustainability and high-performance solutions.
BASF Coatings offers a wide range of refinish solutions for BMW and MINI body shops, ensuring process efficiency and the highest product quality. Additional training solutions will equip BMW Group body shop painters and owners with the necessary skills to create a sustainable environment in their operations.
Chris Jackman, Director of Global Strategic Account Management at BASF Coatings, said: “Through our collaboration with the BMW Group, we are pleased to contribute to the sustainable future of body shops. Our premium portfolio of Glasurit 100 Line and RM Agilis stands out for its outstanding performance, which allows for shorter processing times compared to standard primer lines. Their advanced formulations also significantly reduce material consumption per application. In addition, we were able to simplify certain 3-level colors to 2-level colors, further increasing the speed and sustainability of the refinishing process.”
As the automotive refinish industry continues to evolve, this collaboration between BASF Coatings and the BMW Group reflects their shared commitment to innovation, quality and sustainability in the market.
