Stahl Joins CEFLEX to Promote Sustainability in Packaging Coatings
Stahl, a global leader in specialty coatings for flexible materials, is proud to announce its joining CEFLEX, a European collaboration to make all flexible packaging fully circular and PPWR-compliant. The collaboration reinforces Stahl’s commitment to driving sustainability and innovation across the packaging coatings value chain while solidifying its position as a global leader in specialty coatings.
CEFLEX is a value chain initiative driving change in flexible packaging systems, which complements Stahl’s mission to promote sustainability and innovation in all aspects of its operations. It brings together companies, associations and organizations from around the world to ensure that consumer flexible packaging is efficiently designed, collected, recycled and made available again to replace virgin materials in a circular economy.
"Joining CEFLEX is a significant milestone for Stahl. While we recently strengthened our presence in the packaging industry with the acquisition of Weilburger Graphics, we are determined to lead with innovation and contribute to shaping the future of this dynamic industry. As a pure-play specialty coatings formulator, we see it as our responsibility to support the transition to a circular economy. We believe it is our duty to contribute to a circular economy that requires collaboration on design and materials, not recycling capabilities," said Angela Smits, Sustainability Manager for Stahl Packaging Coatings.
"CEFLEX provides a valuable source of analysis, insights and actions to help achieve a circular economy and PPWR. We are excited to offer our expertise to help create truly sustainable flexible packaging solutions."
