Stahl Expands ZDHC Level 3 Certified Product Portfolio
Stahl, a leader in specialty coatings and treatments for flexible substrates, has achieved Zero Discharge of Hazardous Chemicals (ZDHC) MRSL 3.1 Gateway certification for 2,151 products in its portfolio. This achievement underscores Stahl's continued commitment to ZDHC's mission to achieve the highest standards of sustainable chemicals management.
ZDHC certification enables companies operating in the footwear, apparel and accessories value chain to demonstrate their commitment to responsible chemical management, with the ultimate goal of zero discharge of hazardous chemicals. Level 3 certification represents the highest level of compliance with the ZDHC certification program. To achieve this, Stahl's formulated chemical products and raw materials are validated and tested by Eurofins | Chem-MAP® against the latest ZDHC Manufacturing Restricted Substances List (MRSL 3.1). The Chem-MAP® project was also used to audit chemical management and management processes at Stahl's three production sites.
Michael Costello, Director of Environment, Social and Governance at Stahl Group, said: "This latest expansion of our ZDHC-compliant product portfolio is another important milestone in our journey towards sustainable chemicals management. We will continue to work tirelessly with our value chain partners , to realize ZDHC's vision: A world in which better chemistry leads to the protection of life, land and water."
