Since 2021, Shin-Etsu Group has reported employee infection cases every month:
Reported on January 3 that an employee in Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo was diagnosed with new coronary pneumonia;
On January 19, an employee of the Kashima factory (Kamisu City, Ibaraki Prefecture) was reported to have contracted new crown pneumonia;
An employee in Anzhong City, Gunma County was diagnosed on March 23;
In April, an employee of the Silicone Division of Gunma County was infected;
In early May, three more employees were diagnosed, one in Fukui Prefecture and two in Gunma Prefecture;
On May 10, two employees of the Semiconductor Division and one employee of the Precision Processing Division of Niigata Prefecture were reported to be infected again.
