Arxada Launches Polyboost Multifunctional Additive
Arxada, a global leader in specialty chemicals and innovative solutions, announces the launch of Polyboost™, a unique multifunctional additive designed to enhance a wide range of paint and coatings performance. Polyboost™ is being launched under Arxada’s new LEAP (Leveraging Enhanced Performance of Additives) innovation platform.
The launch of Polyboost™ comes at a time when the paint and coatings industry isfacing numerous challenges, including an increase in product recalls, a reduction in the list of approved formulation ingredients, and increasingly stringent safety and environmental standards. Polyboost™ is a multifunctional additive that improves pH and viscosity stability in paint formulations and supports lower preservative usage rates to avoid H317 hazard labels.
“Polyboost™ is the result of long discussions with customers around the world,” said Nigel Atkinson, Arxada’s Vice President of Paints and Coatings, “not to mention a significant investment in R&D resources, and countless laboratory evaluations across many paint formulation types. Polyboost™ is currently undergoing final evaluation at more than a dozen large multinational paint and coatings manufacturers with excellent results.”
“Arxada is the first company to bring this breakthrough additive technology to market, further establishing our leadership in innovation,” said Rick Strittmatter, Arxada’s Chief Technology, Innovation and Sustainability Officer. “The performance enhancements delivered by Polyboost™ are significant; this versatile additive continues to deliver improvements in every aspect of coating formulation, from flow control and defoaming to product stability, while supporting lower preservative usage rates.”
Arxada will market Polyboost™ in North America, Europe and other global regions
