Pritzker Private Capital Acquires Majority Stake in Americhem
Pritzker Private Capital (PPC), an American investment firm, has agreed to acquire a majority stake in Americhem, a family-owned American manufacturer of custom masterbatches, performance additives and engineered composite solutions.
Founded in 1941 and headquartered in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, Americhem develops and produces masterbatches and custom composite solutions that are critical to the durability, quality and aesthetics of end products in a variety of markets, including healthcare, fibers, transportation and building products.
Americhem has more than 1,500 customers worldwide, ten manufacturing facilities, approximately 1,000 employees and sales offices throughout North America, Europe and Asia. There will be no changes to Americhem’s current leadership team, according to a statement from both companies.
Kaitlyn Desai, head of PCC, said, "We have long admired Americhem's successful track record and the important role it plays across the end-market value chain. We are very familiar with the industry and see many opportunities to build on Americhem's strong foundation, accelerate growth and achieve continued success together."
Rick Juve, chairman of Americhem, said, "PPC is an ideal partner for Americhem's next phase of growth, and more importantly, the PPC team shares our core values of purpose, collaboration and continuous improvement."
John Richard, CEO of Americhem, added, "With PPC as a partner, I am confident in our trajectory to accelerate growth, expand R&D and innovation, and enhance our ability to solve our customers' most complex challenges."
The transaction is subject to customary closing conditions and is expected to close in the first quarter of 2025. Terms have not been disclosed.
