Urgent Announcement on Anti-Dumping Measures for Azo Pigments from China
On March 12, 2025, the Indian Ministry of Commerce and Industry issued a significant announcement regarding anti-dumping duties on Azo Pigments imported from China. The decision confirms that there will be a five-year anti-dumping tax imposed on the affected products. The specific duties are as follows:
- Ruian Baoyuan Chemical Industry Co., Ltd.: $1,387 per ton
- Zhejiang Shengda Charter Win Chemical Co., Ltd.: $513 per ton
- Other Chinese manufacturers: $1,811 per ton
This ruling pertains to various Indian customs codes, including 32041711, 32041720, and 32041731, along with some additional classifications.
Furthermore, on March 29, 2024, the Indian Ministry announced the initiation of an anti-dumping investigation at the request of Sudarshan Chemical Limited. The investigation period for dumping is set from October 1, 2022, to September 30, 2023, covering 12 months. The injury investigation will review data from 2020-2021, 2021-2022, and 2022-2023, as well as the aforementioned dumping period.
