2025 US Final Antidumping Ruling on Epoxy Resins from 5 Regions
On March 31, 2025, the U.S. Department of Commerce announced its final ruling on antidumping duties concerning epoxy resins imported from China, India, South Korea, Thailand, and Taiwan. Due to the lack of participation from Chinese companies, the ruling set a dumping margin of 354.99% for Chinese producers/exporters. In contrast, Indian exporters faced dumping margins between 12.69% and 15.68%, while South Korean exporters were assessed between 5.62% and 7.59%. For Thailand, the dumping margin was set at 5.25%, and for Taiwan, it ranged from 10.93% to 26.98%.
In parallel, the Department also announced its final determination regarding countervailing duties on imports from China, India, South Korea, and Taiwan. Chinese companies, including Jiangsu Sanmu Group Co., Ltd. and Shandong Bluestar Dongda Chemical, received a substantial countervailing duty rate of 547.76%. Indian exporters were subjected to rates between 10.66% and 103.72%, while South Korean exporters faced rates of 1.01% to 1.84%. For Taiwan, the rates ranged from 3.38% to 19.13%.
The U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC) is expected to issue its final ruling on industry harm related to both antidumping and countervailing duties on May 12, 2025.
