EU Delays Approval of Decanoic Acid for Biocidal Products in Product Type 4
According to the Official Journal of the European Union, on May 26, 2025, the European Commission issued Regulation (EU) 2025/949, delaying the approval of decanoic acid for use in biocidal products of product type 4. This regulation will take effect on the twentieth day following its publication.
As per the regulation, the approval period for decanoic acid has been postponed until February 29, 2028.
