Dow Sells 50 Percent Stake in DowAksa for 125 Million Dollars

ECHEMI 2025-06-06

Dow Inc. has announced an agreement to sell its 50% stake in DowAksa Advanced Composites Holdings BV to its joint venture partner, Aksa Akrilik Kimya Sanayii A.Ş., for an adjusted value of $125 million. The deal reflects approximately 10 times the venture’s projected 2025 EBITDA.

The sale aligns with Dow’s strategy to focus on core, high-value downstream businesses, emphasizing its “best-owner” philosophy. This transaction is part of Dow’s broader capital allocation plan to drive balanced growth and shareholder returns.

Established in 2012, DowAksa is a 50/50 joint venture between Dow and Aksa, a subsidiary of Akkök Holding. Based in Turkey, the company specializes in the production of carbon fiber and advanced composites for industries such as wind energy, aerospace, defense, and infrastructure.
