Corteva Unveils New Herbicide Technology at Global Agriculture Festival with 40 Percent Efficiency Boost
At the 2025 Global Agriculture Business Festival in Brazil, Corteva introduced its latest herbicide molecule, Aminocyclopyrachlor (ACP), integrated into two groundbreaking products: Navius and Juvix. This marks the debut of a next-generation solution for livestock producers, offering more efficient and sustainable weed management.
ACP works by triggering hormonal responses in broadleaf weeds, disrupting their growth and development. Corteva highlighted the molecule’s ability to deliver broad-spectrum weed control, boosting pasture productivity while providing economic and environmental benefits for livestock producers.
Navius, featuring a granular formula, combines ACP with Metsulfuron-methyl for dual-action systemic absorption. It is quickly absorbed by leaves and roots, offering low volatility, ease of application, and reduced packaging space. Navius is especially effective against Vernonia westiniana, Bauhinia mollis, and Eupatorium squalidum, ensuring healthier pastures and increased yields of meat and milk.
Juvix, designed for hard-to-control weeds, uses a liquid formula that targets weeds cut 10 cm above the ground. It delivers up to 40% better performance on specific species, with three times the efficiency of current market standards. Applicable year-round, Juvix optimizes labor and time, providing peak efficacy during weed growth stages before flowering.
Corteva emphasized that these innovative herbicides not only improve pasture productivity but also reduce the environmental strain caused by land expansion, promoting sustainable livestock production.
