Ourofino Launches Dotte Fungicide Targeting Soybean Diseases Global Market to Hit 41.9 Billion by 2032

ECHEMI 2025-06-25

Brazilian company Ourofino Agrociência has announced the launch of its latest fungicide, Dotte, a premium product designed specifically to combat Asian soybean rust and leaf spot disease in soybeans. This innovative solution, formulated as a suspension concentrate (SC), was developed by Ourofino's research team and offers significant advancements in disease control.

Dotte combines two active ingredients, prothioconazole and pyraclostrobin, belonging to the triazolinthione and strobilurin chemical groups, respectively. Its dual-action mechanism inhibits ergosterol synthesis and mitochondrial respiration, effectively preventing and controlling diseases at various stages of infection.

The fungicide is recommended for preventive application before symptoms appear, significantly reducing disease severity and boosting crop productivity. In addition to its effectiveness, Dotte provides the following benefits:

  • High adhesion: Ensures better retention on leaves, minimizing losses caused by rain.
  • UV protection: Prevents active ingredients from degrading under sunlight, extending effectiveness.
  • Systemic action: Protects the entire plant, ensuring comprehensive coverage.

Dotte, which is initially registered for use on soybeans, aligns with sustainable farming objectives. Its gradual absorption and low degradation rate enhance efficiency while minimizing environmental impact. Ourofino's product manager stated that the launch reflects years of research aimed at developing solutions suited to Brazil’s unique soils and climate.

Ourofino plans to expand Dotte’s application to other crops, reinforcing its position in the fungicide market and tropical agriculture. According to Custom Market Insights, the global fungicide market is projected to grow at an annual rate of 7%, reaching a value of $41.9 billion by 2032.
