Sipcam Nichino Brasil Unveils Soleado Fungicide at Hortitec 2025
At Hortitec 2025, Latin America’s largest horticulture event, Sipcam Nichino Brasil pre-launched its new fungicide Soleado, featuring amisulbrom as the active ingredient. The product, formulated as a water-dispersible granule (WG), is set to hit the market in the coming weeks.
Soleado is a systemic fungicide designed to combat black spot and leaf spot diseases across a wide range of crops. It is registered for use on over 20 crops, including tomatoes, strawberries, onions, carrots, potatoes, peppers, spinach, and roses, among others. This versatility makes it an essential tool for growers facing diverse plant diseases.
In addition to Soleado, Sipcam Nichino showcased its highly successful insecticide Ohkami, which has gained popularity in Brazil’s tomato sector. Known for its exceptional control of pests such as leafminers, thrips, mites, and tomato fruit borers, Ohkami has also been applied to other 11 crops, including broccoli, kale, and cauliflower, where it excels against diamondback moths.
The company also highlighted its Pulsor 240 SC fungicide, which has demonstrated strong results in combating potato diseases, particularly black scurf (Rhizoctoniosis). Pulsor 240 SC provides both preventive and curative action, effectively targeting multiple stages of Rhizoctonia solani infections. It is also approved for disease management in coffee, chrysanthemums, and turfgrass, making it a valuable solution across multiple sectors.
