Raw Materials Decline—Aniline Stabilizes After Falling (June 22–June 26)

ECHEMI 2026-06-27

June 26th, it was reported that

I. Price Trends

According to the commodity market analysis system, the aniline market in China first declined and then stabilized this week. The price of aniline was 9,525 CNY per ton on June 22, and 9,225 CNY per ton on June 26, a decrease of 3.15% within the week, and an increase of 13.12% compared to the same period last year.

II. Analysis and Commentary

This week, the aniline market in China faced downward pressure. During the week, the second phase of negotiations between the US and Iran made some progress, and there were reports of improved navigation through the Strait of Hormuz, leading to a decline in crude oil prices, which in turn caused pure benzene prices to fall. Additionally, with aniline manufacturers resuming production, the supply-side support weakened, and aniline prices decreased by 300 CNY per ton. Subsequently, Huatai underwent plant maintenance, reducing supply-side pressure. Demand followed as needed, and inventory pressure at factories decreased, stabilizing aniline prices.

Cost aspect: The price of pure benzene has weakened and fallen. Geopolitical premiums have declined, and oil prices have continued to fall, leading to a collapse in chemical costs. At the same time, there is a lack of confidence in demand, and market sentiment is pessimistic. Although there is still an expectation of inventory reduction for pure benzene supply and demand in June, some overseas facilities that were previously under maintenance have resumed operations, alleviating the tight supply situation. However, some non-integrated facilities for certain products are experiencing losses, and the negative feedback on demand continues, which still drags down market sentiment.

III. Future Market Outlook

The current aniline market supply and demand in China is stable, with no significant sales pressure, and it is expected that the aniline market will remain steady in the short term.
