Taking titanium dioxide (TiO2) rutile grade produced via the sulfuric acid process, which has high sales volume in the Chinese market, as an example, data monitoring shows that the price of titanium dioxide in China decreased this week. The average price on Monday was 13,640 CNY/ton, while on Friday it dropped to 13,480 CNY/ton, representing a price decrease of 1.17%.
2. Market Analysis
This week, the price of titanium dioxide in China has decreased. The titanium dioxide market in China is still poor this week, with companies facing cost pressures during the off-season, and there is significant inventory pressure. Downstream demand is weak, and terminal restocking remains cautious, with limited new orders. So far, the quotations for sulfate process rutile titanium dioxide in China are mostly between 12,900-13,800 CNY/ton; anatase type is around 11,600-11,900 CNY/ton, with actual transaction prices negotiated on a case-by-case basis.
III. Future Market Forecast
Titanium dioxide analysts believe: This week, the titanium dioxide market prices in China have decreased. The downstream market shows weak demand, with mainly rigid demand, and there is pressure from inventory within the market, leading to significant pressure on companies to sell their products. It is expected that in the short term, the titanium dioxide market will remain weak and stable, with actual transaction prices negotiated on a case-by-case basis.
