This week Aniline prices increased (8.4-8.8) in China
August 8th News
I. Price Trends
According to the commodity market analysis system, the aniline market in China showed an overall increase this week. The price of aniline was 7,550 CNY per ton on August 3rd and reached 7,775 CNY per ton on August 8th, with a cyclical increase of 2.98%. Compared to the same period last year, the price has fallen by 26.30%.
II. Analysis and Commentary
This week, aniline prices in Shandong, China, saw a positive push. On Monday, with low inventory levels in companies, major manufacturers collectively raised prices by 300 CNY/ton, bringing the mainstream market price to 7,800-7,900 CNY/ton. Subsequently, buying interest from downstream decreased, leading to a reduction in trading volume, and aniline prices were lowered by 100 CNY/ton. Buying interest then somewhat recovered, and the market remained stable until the end of the week.
Cost aspect: This week, the price of pure benzene slightly decreased. The overall supply slightly contracted, with both petroleum benzene and hydrogenated benzene seeing reductions, but there was no corresponding improvement in demand. The average price at the beginning of the week was 6,075 CNY/ton, and by the end of the week, it was 6.56 CNY/ton, with a weekly price decrease of 0.31%. The pure benzene market maintained a situation of ample supply, and the weak fundamentals affected the trend of pure benzene.
Note: There seems to be an error in the weekend average price (6.56 CNY/ton) as it is not consistent with the context. It might be a typo or data entry error. If you can provide the correct figure, I can adjust the translation accordingly.
III. Future Market Expectations
The current aniline market in China has stable supply and demand, with smooth sales, and the inventory pressure is not high. It is expected that the aniline market in China will maintain a steady operation in the short term.
