This Week China's Acetone Market Declines (8.11-18)

The Chinese acetone market has seen a slight decline. In East China, the acetone market was quoted at 4,730 CNY/ton on August 11, and by August 18, it was quoted at 4,696 CNY/ton, a price decrease of 0.7%. Across China, the acetone market has shown similar fluctuations.

The Chinese acetone market has slightly declined. During the week, the listed price of Sinopec enterprises was 4800 CNY/ton. Although the cost of raw materials increased and had some pull, phenol and acetone manufacturers are still in a loss state, with the operating rate of phenol and acetone around 75%. Currently, the port inventory is at 27,500 tons, and the spot resources are relatively sufficient. Downstream factories are mainly driven by rigid demand.
