Wanhua Chemical Boosts TDI Capacity to 1.44 Million Tons New 360000-Ton Plant Launches Amid Global Maintenance Cycle
Wanhua Chemical announced that its new 360,000-ton/year TDI Phase II unit at the Fujian Industrial Park has started production and is delivering qualified output. With this addition, Wanhua’s total TDI capacity now reaches 1.44 million tons per year, solidifying its position as the world’s largest supplier of both MDI and TDI.
The company’s Hungarian subsidiary, BorsodChem, recently completed maintenance on its 250,000-ton/year TDI plant, with MDI operations (400,000 tons/year) set to resume soon. In line with annual plans, Wanhua’s Yantai TDI facility (300,000 tons/year) will enter a 40-day maintenance period starting August 19, 2025.
With record-breaking capacity and a robust global supply network, Wanhua is poised to maintain its industry leadership despite ongoing plant turnarounds.
