Insufficient Positive Factors, Shandong Cyclohexanone Market Trending Downward
September 19, News
According to the commodity market analysis system, on September 19th, the factory price of cyclohexanone in Shandong, China, was 7,000 CNY/ton. Compared to September 1st, the price decreased by 87 CNY/ton. Compared to August 1st (when the cyclohexanone price was 7,262 CNY/ton), the price decreased by 262 CNY/ton, a 3.61% decrease.
From the commodity market analysis system, it can be seen that in the early part of September, the cyclohexanone market in Shandong region of China was mainly in a weak consolidation phase, with relatively calm news in the market. Entering this week, the cyclohexanone market trend has been declining, with the negotiation focus shifting downward, and the reduction range is 50-100 CNY per ton. As of September 19th, the factory price of cyclohexanone in the Shandong region of China is around 6900-7000 CNY per ton.
Fundamental situation
Supply and Demand: Currently, the overall supply of cyclohexanone in the Chinese market has increased, putting some pressure on supply. Factories are actively shipping goods, while downstream demand remains mainly rigid. The support from the demand side to the market is limited, and the transmission between supply and demand for cyclohexanone appears loose.
Cost Perspective: Currently, the cyclohexanone market is experiencing high-level volatility in the pure benzene price, with cost pressures still persisting and putting downward pressure on cyclohexanone profits. As of September 18, the benchmark price for pure benzene stood at 6,048.67 CNY per ton, representing a 1.23% increase compared to September 1 (5,975.33 CNY per ton).
Future Market Analysis
Currently, the trading atmosphere in the cyclohexanone market is relatively weak, with a general sentiment among industry players. Cyclohexanone data analysts predict that in the short term, the cyclohexanone market in China will mainly be characterized by consolidation. It is also necessary to pay more attention to the inventory preparation of downstream markets before the holiday and to monitor changes in supply and demand news.
