BASF and IFF Collaborate to Accelerate Innovation in Enzymes and Polymers
BASF and International Flavors & Fragrances (IFF) have partnered to accelerate the development of IFF's designer enzyme biomaterials technology platform, creating next-generation technologies for fabric, dish and personal care, and industrial cleaning applications.
This collaboration brings together two industry leaders with a shared vision: to develop high-performance, sustainable solutions that meet evolving consumer and market demands.
By combining BASF and IFF's advanced chemistry capabilities with expertise in biotechnology and protein engineering, the collaboration aims to deliver breakthrough solutions at scale to enhance cleaning performance, improve personal care formulations, reduce environmental impact, and support the transition to a more sustainable future.
Michael Heinz, member of the BASF Board of Executive Directors, said: “This collaboration is strategically important for both companies. By combining our R&D expertise, we will lay the foundation for faster and larger-scale rollout of innovative solutions for our customers.”
