I. Price Trends
According to the commodity market analysis system: On February 28, 2025, the average price was 1,443 CNY/ton. The coke market prices in China were mainly stable with a slight downward trend. Prices have been stable recently, and the market trading atmosphere is light. Currently, inventories are high, and negotiation levels are low, lacking significant momentum for large fluctuations in the short term.
II. Market Analysis
Price-wise: On February 28, the metallurgical coke prices in the Tangshan market remained stable. The current mainstream transaction price for rammed grade one dry quenched coke is 1735 CNY/ton, and for top-charged grade one dry quenched coke is 1805 CNY/ton, both are factory prices including tax and paid in cash. On the same day, the metallurgical coke prices in the Tianjin Port market also remained stable, with the port's grade two coke priced at 1520 CNY/ton and grade one coke at 1620 CNY/ton, both on a delivery against bill of lading basis. In the Handan market, the prices for metallurgical coke were stable as well, with the grade two dry quenched coke ranging from 1560 to 1580 CNY/ton, and the grade two wet quenched coke at 1390 CNY/ton, all factory prices including tax and paid in cash. In the Qitaihe market, the prices for metallurgical coke remained stable, with the grade three wet quenched coke at 1290 CNY/ton and the grade two wet quenched coke at 1470 CNY/ton, both factory prices including tax and paid by acceptance.
III. Future Market Forecast
Coke analysts believe: The focus of negotiations in the coke market remains stable, with the overall market showing minor fluctuations. Prices are mainly holding steady.
