Costs Plunge Aniline Prices Fall from High Levels
March 13th News
I. Price Trends
According to the commodity market analysis system, the price of Aniline fluctuated and declined this week. The market price of Aniline was 11,462 CNY per ton on March 9, and 10,262 CNY per ton on March 6, a decrease of 10.17% within the period, and an increase of 17.12% compared to the same period last year.
II. Analysis and Commentary
The Middle East situation has been volatile this week. After crude oil prices broke through the $100 mark, they quickly retraced, causing a rapid drop in the price of raw material pure benzene. Under the influence of rising costs, aniline prices have been lowered. Currently, aniline prices remain at relatively high levels, and downstream users are entering the market only as needed, leading to a weaker purchasing atmosphere and a growing wait-and-see sentiment.
On the cost side: Signs of easing geopolitical tensions within China, coupled with news that the Group of Seven (G7) is holding an emergency meeting to discuss jointly releasing strategic petroleum reserves, have quickly cooled market sentiment. As a result, international crude oil prices experienced a sharp pullback on March 10, weakening cost-side support and prompting a decline in pure benzene prices. Prices have been experiencing wide fluctuations, while downstream players remain passively on the sidelines, with demand remaining moderate.
III. Future Market Outlook
Currently, the macroeconomic outlook remains unclear, and as a result, the price of raw material pure benzene fluctuates with changes in crude oil prices. It is expected that aniline prices will remain high in the short term. Closely monitor the changes in raw materials and market supply and demand.
