Middle East Conflict Leads to Raw Material Price Increase, Aniline Price Exceeds 10,000 Yuan
March 6 news
I. Price Trends
According to the commodity market analysis system, the price of aniline continued to rise this week. The market price of aniline in China was 9,445 CNY/ton on March 2nd and 10,345 CNY/ton on March 6th, an increase of 9.53% during the period and a 12.91% increase compared to the same period last year.
II. Analysis and Commentary
During the week, tensions in the Middle East continued to escalate, causing international crude oil prices to remain high. This led to an increase in the prices of upstream raw materials such as benzene. Benzene is the main raw material for Aniline, and its price has recently risen significantly. As a result, the price of Aniline has also increased. Additionally, with recent maintenance plans at major factories and low inventory levels, the price of Aniline has broken through the 10,000 yuan mark.
From the cost perspective: Due to the impact of the Middle East conflict on oil and gas production and supply, international oil prices continue to surge sharply. The listed prices at major benzene refineries have been raised multiple times, and holders are reluctant to sell at low prices, exhibiting strong reluctance to part with their inventories. In the short term, benzene prices are likely to continue rising in tandem with crude oil prices.
III. Future Market Outlook
Currently, under the dual effects of cost support and anticipated tightening of supply, aniline prices are expected to remain at high levels in the short term, with the possibility of further increases.
