Shanghai Petrochemical's average daily output of ethylene oxide hits a new high
Since the beginning of this year, the two ethylene glycol plants of the Chemical Department of Sinopec Shanghai Petrochemical Co., Ltd. achieved an average daily output of 960 tons of ethylene oxide. Recently, there was another good news. The average daily output exceeded 1,000 tons, which was the best level in history.
The company's No. 2 ethylene glycol plant successfully completed the product structure optimization project in June and was officially put into operation. After this transformation, the ethylene oxide output of the device has been greatly increased.
Without changing the overall balance of the company’s ethylene supply and distribution, the production technicians of the ethylene glycol combined plant made full use of the complementary advantages of the two sets of ethylene glycol plants, and the No. 2 ethylene glycol plant was used to ensure the production of polyester-grade ethylene glycol products. Under the conditions, as much as possible to produce refined ethylene oxide.
Since the beginning of this year, the chemical department of the company has strictly managed production and operation and continued to promote process stability management. The "Woodpecker" on-site operation with the theme of "strengthening inspections, detecting hidden dangers, and finding out missing deficiencies" has been carried out in the ethylene glycol unit for 8 consecutive years. There are 22 key party members in 22 areas of responsibility on the site. Division of labor and responsibility, implementation of "grid-based" management, so that all "processes, equipment, safety, and environmental protection" in the region are borne and managed at all times, forming a team that strives to be a "woodpecker" and a "security guard". The good safety atmosphere has effectively promoted the stable operation of the two ethylene glycol plants.
