July 27th News
According to Spotcom, as of the 26th, the price of ethyl acetate was 5860 CNY/ton, an increase of 16.67 CNY/ton compared to the price of 5843.33 CNY/ton on July 20th, a price increase of 0.29%. With some ethyl acetate plants undergoing maintenance in China, downstream buyers are following up according to demand. Under the balance of supply and demand, the price of ethyl acetate is consolidating and moving upward.
On the supply side, some ethyl acetate facilities in China have been shut down for maintenance, leading to a decrease in operating rates, and companies are more inclined to maintain prices. In terms of demand, the terminal market is in the traditional off-season, and downstream purchases are mainly based on need, providing only moderate support to the demand side. At the same time, the price of upstream acetic acid has softened, weakening cost support. The downstream and cost markets are restraining the increase in ethyl acetate prices. Under the influence of these psychological factors, the price of ethyl acetate has slightly increased.
Looking ahead, the current ethyl acetate market exhibits low operating rates, with companies mainly holding firm on prices. Downstream buyers are following demand closely, and supply within the market remains limited. Looking forward, supply is expected to increase, prompting a cautious market sentiment. We anticipate that ethyl acetate prices will remain in a state of wait-and-see consolidation in the short term, with prices fluctuating narrowly. In the longer term, it will be crucial to closely monitor raw material price trends and downstream demand dynamics.
