Pharmapack Asia will make its debut in Singapore on November 3–4, 2026, bringing pharmaceutical manufacturers, packaging specialists, drug delivery developers, medical device companies and solution providers together at Marina Bay Sands.
Organized by Informa Markets, the inaugural event marks the expansion of the established Pharmapack exhibition brand into the Asia-Pacific region. Pharmapack has operated in Europe for more than 25 years, developing into a specialized platform for pharmaceutical packaging, drug delivery devices, medical technology and manufacturing solutions.
The launch comes as Asia’s pharmaceutical industry continues to expand beyond conventional generic drug manufacturing and into biologics, complex formulations, advanced therapies and high-value medicines. These products often require more sophisticated packaging, stronger cold-chain controls and delivery systems designed around patient safety and convenience.
Against this background, Pharmapack Asia is intended to provide the region with a dedicated meeting point for companies involved in the development, production and distribution of pharmaceutical products.
The two-day event is expected to attract more than 2,500 attendees, over 120 exhibiting companies and participants from more than 40 countries. Organizers are also planning more than 20 content sessions covering pharmaceutical packaging, drug delivery technologies, medical devices, sustainability, regulatory compliance and supply-chain innovation.
The exhibition will cover primary, secondary and tertiary packaging, as well as sterile packaging, labeling, packaging design, contract manufacturing, pharmaceutical machinery and medical measuring devices.
Primary packaging products are expected to include solutions that come into direct contact with medicines, such as vials, ampoules, prefilled syringes, cartridges, blister systems, bottles and closures. Secondary and tertiary packaging providers will present technologies designed to improve product protection, traceability, transportation efficiency and regulatory compliance.
Drug delivery will be another central focus of the event. As pharmaceutical companies develop injectable biologics, long-acting formulations and patient-administered therapies, demand is increasing for prefilled syringes, autoinjectors, wearable delivery systems, inhalation devices and other patient-centered technologies.
The growth of these systems is changing how pharmaceutical companies work with packaging and device suppliers. Packaging decisions are increasingly being made earlier in the drug development process because container compatibility, extractables and leachables, sterilization requirements and device performance can directly affect product approval and commercialization.
Pharmapack Asia will also address the growing importance of sustainable pharmaceutical packaging. Manufacturers are under pressure to reduce material consumption and emissions while maintaining sterility, product stability and patient safety.
Unlike ordinary consumer packaging, pharmaceutical packaging cannot be redesigned solely around environmental considerations. Any change in material, closure or manufacturing process may require stability testing, regulatory review and additional validation. The industry must therefore balance sustainability objectives with strict quality and compliance requirements.
Regulatory differences across Asian markets are expected to feature prominently during the event. Pharmaceutical companies operating across Southeast Asia, China, Japan, South Korea, India and Australia must manage different registration systems, labeling standards, serialization requirements and medical device regulations.
For packaging suppliers, the ability to offer solutions that can be adapted to multiple jurisdictions is becoming an important commercial advantage.
Supply-chain resilience will be another major theme. Recent disruptions have increased awareness of the risks associated with relying on limited suppliers for pharmaceutical glass, rubber components, medical-grade polymers, temperature-controlled packaging and specialized delivery devices.
Companies are increasingly reviewing dual-sourcing strategies, regional manufacturing capacity and inventory planning. Singapore’s position as a pharmaceutical manufacturing, logistics and distribution hub makes it a relevant location for these discussions.
The conference program is expected to include topics such as cold-chain logistics, procurement, patient-centric drug delivery, sustainable packaging and regional supply-chain development. Confirmed speakers include representatives from Eli Lilly and Company, Biocon Biologics, the National University of Singapore, Emball’Iso, MCC Label and the Transported Asset Protection Association.
The event is also expected to attract pharmaceutical manufacturers, biotechnology companies, contract development and manufacturing organizations, hospitals, logistics providers and technology companies.
Organizations identified by the organizer as expected participants include Pfizer, MSD Pharma, Eli Lilly, Biocon Biologics, Serum Institute of India, Thermo Fisher Scientific, UPS Healthcare, Siemens and several Asian healthcare institutions. The participant list remains subject to further updates ahead of the exhibition.
For suppliers, Pharmapack Asia will provide an opportunity to present technologies to pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies seeking new packaging, delivery and manufacturing partners across the region.
For drug manufacturers, the event will offer access to materials, devices and production systems designed for increasingly complex products, including biologics, injectable medicines and temperature-sensitive therapies.
The introduction of a dedicated Pharmapack event in Asia also reflects the region’s growing influence in the global pharmaceutical value chain. Asian countries are no longer serving only as manufacturing locations. They are becoming important centers for drug development, clinical research, biotechnology investment and advanced pharmaceutical production.
As this transition continues, packaging and drug delivery technologies will play a larger role in determining product quality, patient experience and access to international markets.
Pharmapack Asia 2026 is therefore positioned not simply as another pharmaceutical trade exhibition, but as a regional platform connecting medicine development with the technologies required to protect, deliver and commercialize increasingly advanced therapies.
The inaugural edition will take place at Marina Bay Sands in Singapore on November 3 and 4, 2026. Standard visitor registration is currently available without charge through the event’s official platform.
