The night shift will be cancelled in coal mine operation

The traditional operation mode of "three shifts" in coal mine will be completely changed in the future. Huang Yuzhi, director of the State Administration of Coal Mine Supervision, said at a recent national coal mine safety training workshop that coal mining enterprises should promote and implement the practice of canceling night shifts and gradually change the traditional operation mode of "three shifts a day and 24 hours of continuous rotation" of underground coal miners.
Huangyuzhi also indicated that coal mining enterprises should equip to reduce strength and keep the environment for people. We should continue to promote mechanization, automation and reduction of personnel, speed up the development and application of coal mine robots, and strive to liberate employees from dangerous environment and heavy labor. Lin Boqiang, Dean of China Institute of Energy Policy, Xiamen University, said in an interview with Shanghai Stock Exchange News that the promotion and implementation of the abolition of night shift reflects a change in thinking and will significantly reduce the labor intensity of underground coal mine employees. In addition, with the deepening of supply-side reform in the coal industry, a large number of small and medium-sized backward coal mines have been eliminated, while a considerable proportion of advanced production capacity has been released, and the degree of mechanization and intellectualization of coal mine production has been improved accordingly. Objectively, it also provides conditions for canceling night shift. The 13th Five-Year Plan for the Development of Coal Industry issued by the National Development and Reform Commission and the State Energy Administration calls for the establishment of an intensive, safe, efficient and green modern coal industry system by 2020. New progress has been made in the construction of coal mine informatization and intellectualization. It is imperative to build a number of advanced and efficient intelligent coal mines.
Guojin Securities Research Report believes that with the continuous improvement of profitability and financial situation of coal enterprises, coal machinery and equipment is expected to enter a new round of purchasing peak as fixed assets investment in coal industry bottoms up, and the market demand of fully mechanized mining equipment is expected to exceed 75 billion yuan in 2019.
