This week, the price of anhydrous hydrogen fluoride remained high and stable in China (5.11-5.13)
May 13th, news:
This week, the price of anhydrous hydrogen fluoride remained stable at a high level. According to the analysis system, as of May 13, the benchmark price for hydrofluoric acid in China was 16,166.67 CNY per ton, an increase of 7.06% from last month.
On the raw material side: Currently, some fluorite mines and beneficiation plants in China are accelerating their resumption of production and operations, leading to a slight recovery in operating rates. As a result, the spot supply of fluorite in China has become somewhat more abundant, and the fluorite market is currently operating at a weakly stable level. In contrast, the supply of sulfuric acid is tightening, driving continuous price increases in the market. Meanwhile, high costs on the hydrofluoric acid side continue to provide strong support, prompting companies to maintain their pricing intentions firmly. According to analysis systems, as of May 13, the benchmark price for fluorite stood at 3,493.75 CNY per ton, down 0.71% from the beginning of this month (3,518.75 CNY per ton).
On the demand side: Downstream refrigerant manufacturers are gradually entering the traditional peak production season, and demand for certain refrigerant models remains relatively strong, creating a certain rigid demand for hydrofluoric acid. However, buyers remain cautious and are not very receptive to high-priced raw materials. Procurement is mainly focused on replenishing stocks as needed, resulting in generally moderate market transaction volumes.
Comprehensive Forecast: The rigid support for raw material fluorite and sulfuric acid remains in place, while downstream demand is steadily increasing. We expect the market price of anhydrous hydrogen fluoride to remain firm at high levels in the short term. Further attention should be paid to changes in the supply of raw materials and downstream demand.
