Take-out Platform Starts One Month Self-check and Rehabilitation

Yesterday, the Municipal Market Regulatory Bureau held a meeting on the supervision and deployment of the online ordering platform. The leaders of food safety of five platforms, such as the delegation comment, hungry, gourmet dinner party, gourmet food network and brocade food delivery, attended the meeting. Supervisory authorities require that takeout platforms carry out self-examination and rectification for a month from now on, and that the strictest penalties be imposed on outstanding problems that still exist after self-examination. At the deployment meeting, the Municipal Market Regulatory Bureau informed about the supervision work of the online ordering platform and the recent illegal and irregular phenomena in the online ordering market, requiring all the online ordering platforms to carry out a one-month self-examination and rectification work from now on. According to the introduction, enterprises need to focus on four aspects of self-examination, including on-line operation without food business license or expiration of food business license; on-line operation with borrowed, fraudulent or forged, rented or lent food business license; on-line operation with items beyond the license and on-line operation of unit canteens. At the same time, it is necessary to check whether the business license, food business license, quantified classification, authenticity and validity of the online stores are publicized, and whether the licensed business address of the stores is consistent with that of the platform.

The Municipal Market Regulatory Bureau clearly requires that all online ordering platforms should standardize ordering pages, set up consumption warning information in prominent locations, publicize violations of laws and regulations, publicize true information of food business licenses, strengthen food safety risk prevention and control, and ensure food safety of online catering. It is reported that after the self-examination, the Municipal Market Regulatory Bureau will check the self-examination work of each platform, and take the most severe punishment for the outstanding problems that still exist after the self-examination, so as to strengthen the online ordering platform to fulfill the responsibility of examining the food business licenses of catering service providers. The market supervision departments of each territorial region will discover and punish the illegal and irregular acts discovered by inspection together.

According to the circular issued by the Municipal Market Regulatory Bureau last month, in the early stage, special management has been carried out on the platform and offline catering business units in response to the occurrence of illegal acts such as undocumented, set-up and false certificates caused by the inadequate access audit of the online ordering platform, as well as the problems of non-standardized information publicity and inadequate management of online catering business operators. Rectification work, a total of screening problems and rectification into the network catering business units 35,000 households, more than 2100 cases were investigated and dealt with.
