National Bureau of Statistics: continue to speed up tax cuts and reduce fees

Among the macro data released on April 17, the rebound of industrial data was particularly striking. In March, industrial value added increased by 8.5%, up 3.2 percentage points from January to February. Mao Shengyong, a spokesman for the National Bureau of Statistics, said he had just seen the data and felt it exceeded expectations. Mao Shengyong, spokesman for the National Bureau of Statistics, said, "We were surprised to see this number, but careful analysis is reasonable. Why do we say that? Firstly, policy factors make enterprises more active in production; secondly, enterprises expect to improve; thirdly, there is a more important factor in industry, namely, the reduction of VAT rate."
On April 1, the value-added tax rate of manufacturing industry dropped from 16% to 13%. In order to expand tax deduction, many enterprises increased their stock ahead of schedule, which objectively increased the production of upstream enterprises. In addition, the role of the real economy of financial services is also increasing, with abundant market liquidity, continuous dredging of monetary transmission mechanism, and increased investment willingness of enterprises. Exports increased by 21.3% in March, which also supported the growth rate of industrial value added above the scale. Mao Shengyong, spokesman of the National Bureau of Statistics, said that after May 1, the rate of social security premiums should be lowered, and a series of policies should be implemented to reduce the burden of enterprises, which is conducive to expanding investment and increasing production.
