Quanzhou Ethylene Project Fully Promotes 'Soilless Construction'

Since the beginning of May, the construction site of the 1 million ton/year ethylene project in Quanzhou, Sinochem, which was built by the Tenth Construction Company of Refinery and Chemical Engineering, has been experiencing continuous heavy rainfall. For this reason, Quanzhou Engineering Project Department of Shijianzhonghua has continuously optimized the project construction plan, and made every effort to promote the "soil-free construction" step, so that the original muddy construction site after rain is replaced by cement ground. The professional installation of steel structure, equipment and process pipeline has all realized "soil-free construction".

It is known that at the beginning of the 1 million tons/year ethylene project in Quanzhou, Zhonghua, frequent rainfall resulted in loose soil structure on site, which had a great impact on the construction of ground pipes and civil foundations. Therefore, the project department actively planned and scientifically deployed to promote the construction progress of underground pipeline network, civil foundation, electrostatic grounding and other underground projects at full speed, and to do a good job of ground hardening in an all-round way, which created favorable conditions for the project to achieve the goal of "soil-free construction".

Through the joint efforts of all the participants in the project department, 120,000 square meters of the furnace area, quench zone, compression zone, cold zone and hot zone in the ethylene plant have been hardened, and the completion rate of floor construction has reached 95%. It effectively promotes the smooth progress of "soil-free construction" in the following specialties and improves the image of civilized construction on site. At the same time, "soil-free construction" plays a good demonstration role in safety, quality and progress control on the premise of promoting civilized construction and ensuring orderly site.

"After raining, no longer need to spend time to drain water, construction vehicles are very smooth, no matter how strong the wind is, they are not afraid of being squinted by sand, and the materials on the site need not worry about being polluted by soil." A sub-contractor in charge of the project department said with emotion. At present, under the implementation of the strategy of "soil-free construction", the project department has steadily promoted the construction of various specialties of ethylene plant in a safe, high-quality, efficient manner. The standardized construction of the whole project has won unanimous praise from owners, contractors, supervisors and other participating units.
