According to the survey data, in 2018, the overall myopia rate of children and adolescents in China was 53.6%. Among them, children aged 6 were 14.5%, pupils were 36%, junior high school students were 71.6%, and senior high school students were 81%. The task of myopia prevention and control was arduous. The core information of health education on myopia prevention and control for children and adolescents in 2019 issued by the National Health and Health Commission suggests that the age of 0 to 6 is the critical period for children's visual development, and special attention should be paid to the protection and health of children's early visual acuity. Children under 6 should avoid using mobile phones and computers as much as possible. Parents should minimize the use of electronic products in front of their children. After enrollment, the teaching time of using electronic products in schools should not exceed 30% of the total teaching time in principle. After 30 to 40 minutes of study using electronic products in spare time, you should take a rest and relax for 10 minutes. The use of electronic products for non-learning purposes should not exceed 15 minutes per time, and the cumulative use of electronic products should not exceed 1 hour per day. In addition, children and adolescents should not spend more than 40 minutes in reading and writing continuously, and should set aside sufficient Daytime Outdoor activities. Teachers and parents should guide children to take an active part in physical exercises. Children should be allowed to have outdoor activities for more than two hours during the day. Outdoor activities in boarding kindergartens should not be less than three hours.
