Syngenta promotes Nema Digital, the world's first AI diagnostic tool for soybean nematodes, in Brazil
At the International Agricultural exhibition 2024 in Brazil, Syngenta presented its innovative "Nema Digital" artificial intelligence (AI) solution, which aims to manage the nematode problem in soybean cultivation through its Cropwise platform. This breakthrough technology utilizes advanced AI algorithms and computational modeling to provide soybean farmers with an unprecedented pest management tool.
Mode of operation:
- Through the database, Nema Digital is able to track historical crops, areas, and periods of nematode infestations in the field to determine current nematode species and optimal control strategies for affected areas.
- After initially identifying the affected area, AI technology is used for targeted field sample collection to ensure the accuracy and relevance of the data.
- Through laboratory analysis, detailed nematological reports are provided to identify nematode genera and species present in the area, helping manufacturers to identify potential nematode threat areas.
Syngenta said Nema Digital is the world's first commercial digital solution specifically designed to diagnose parasitic nematode infections in soybean crops. The company promises to provide users with detailed maps of nematode areas, evaluation of management efficiency, and consultation opportunities with nematologists to discuss best management techniques. manufacturers to identify potential nematode threat areas.
